"Steps". Valeria 1.) Dope one or two coatings of varnish - it will be the uppermost "corner" 2.) Accurately cut out from a scotch tape a triangle with acute angle, and stick it on a well dried varnish ( the first coating must be well dried up), in a form of acute angle towards the base of a nail and from the base of the nail up to the corner there should be left an interspace for strips of another color, then all area, that is not under the tape should be painted over by varnish of other color and then the tape should be quickly torn off, in that case we can get sharply defined and smooth edge; 3.) After this coating has dried up (do not be quick, let it dries up completely, it is very important, otherwise all could be spoiled) cut out an angle piece, better with a big angle, instead of angle it is possible to cut out two strips, they must be only undercut on their ends, to make an angle with them, put it as it was indicated in the item 2, but lower, and again paint it over; 4.) The same should be done for other levels; 5.) All could be painted with clear varnish to make the nails level, but I like when these "steps" are visible. |
