author: Ol`gin
Egypt. Lotus. This is a first work in the manicures cycle called: "Nail-art - styles of foretime". For the present moment I plan to realize 12 works on the following periods: 1) Egypt 2) Greece 3) Rome 4) Romance 5) Gothic 6) Renaissance 7) Baroque 8) Rococo 9) Classicism 10) Empire 11) Eclecticism 12) Art Nouveau This is not the final list - it is quite possible that something would be added, or something would not be realized. The Egyptian culture - rectangular elongated forms. Symmetry. Simple and clear composition methods. Pictures of verdure. Palm-like, lotus-like, papyrus-like columns. Houses were painted. Colour. Predominant colours were absent. Ground, natural colours. Deer hues. The technology: 1) 2 coatings of beige varnish. 2) Dope the varnish with a hair-pencil as 3 elongated leaves. 3) Using a dark blue gel pen draw another 2 lotus leaves between green leaves. 4) The interspaces between leaves should be painted over with a white gel pen. 5) Draw another 4 lotus leaves on the white primer. 6) Using a golden pen draw base and upper part of the flower. 8) Outline green and dark blue leaves with a black pen. 7) In a couple of minutes coat it with clear varnish.
